Welcome to ForpusAviary.com! It is my hope that you will find this site helpful as you peruse its pages regarding the keeping and breeding of parrots and parrotlets in particular. I have been raising and breeding birds for over twenty years and have had the good fortune to work with many different species from finches to macaws and ostriches. In 1996 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in agriculture, I moved to Washington, DC to work for the United States House of Representatives. Since this move my space for raising birds has dwindled from a Texas ranch to a Capitol Hill basement, leading me to focus my attention on Forpus species and in particular the Pacific Parrotlet and its many color varieties. I have been able to put together some exceptional breeding stock from around the world during this endeavor and strive to improve them to produce world class birds.
